About Magic Johnson & Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Magic Johnson is widely regarded as the greatest point guard in NBA history. Selected #1 overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1979 NBA Draft, Magic won five NBA Championships with the Lakers (1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988), earning three Finals MVP Awards and three regular season MVP Awards. A 12-time All-Star and the architect of the "Showtime" Lakers era, Magic retired with career averages of 19.5 points, 11.2 assists, and 7.2 rebounds per game. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the NBA's all-time leading scorer with 38,387 career points and is widely regarded as one of the two or three greatest players in NBA history. Originally drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1969, Kareem was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 1975, where he won five NBA Championships (1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988) alongside Magic Johnson.
