About Larry Kenon
Larry "Special K" Kenon was one of the most electrifying forwards of the 1970s, known for his explosive athleticism, shot-blocking ability, and high-flying style of play. He began his professional career with the New York Nets in the ABA (1973–1975), winning the 1974 ABA Championship alongside Julius Erving. He was then traded to the San Antonio Spurs (1975–1980), where he became the face of the franchise during the ABA's final season and the Spurs' early NBA years. Kenon was a two-time ABA All-Star and an NBA All-Star in 1978, averaging over 20 points per game in multiple seasons with San Antonio. He also played for the Chicago Bulls (1980–1981) and the Cleveland Cavaliers (1981–1982) before retiring. Kenon remains one of the most beloved figures in San Antonio Spurs history.
